Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney isn’t a fan of Michael Jackson’s posthumous album Xscape. However, it’s not the quality of the album that frustrates Carney.

“[It’s] some f**king bulls**t that sucks so bad that it took them three years after he died to make it listenable,” Carney told Rolling Stone magazine in an interview.

“Like he had to be dead for three years for it to be released,” he said, suggesting that it was finally released because “L.A. Reid needed a new boat.”

Jermaine Jackson, Michael’s brother, had a similar response to the album.  “I heard some of the songs, I love Xscape, but I haven’t heard the whole CD yet so until I hear it I can’t give you an honest opinion,” Jackson told TMZ. “We have nothing to do with that, it’s all the estate.”

L.A. Reid reportedly selected eight songs out of “hundreds” of tracks for Xscape.
