Actress and mother Jada Pinkett-Smith is firing back at the press for criticizing and sensationalizing innocent pictures of her daughter, Willow Smith.

Earlier this week, Black-and-white photos showing the 13-year-old lying on a bed with “Hannah Montana” actor Moises Arias hit Instagram and Tumblr. The first picture, captioned “Roar”, shows the shirtless 20-year-old actor smiling on the bed, while Smith lies down in a Hannah Montana t-shirt. The second photo, captioned “Simba & Nala,” shows the pair striking the same pose — only Arias’ expression is more serious. The photos have since been removed from the Arias’ account, but not before they begin to spread through news outlets and social media users.

Neither party, nor any parents, commented on the controversy until Wednesday. TMZ caught up with Pinkett-Smith at Los Angeles International Airport. She told photographers that the pictures were innocent, and they were projecting trash onto it. “You’re acting like covert pedophiles and that’s not cool,” she added as she was leaving the airport.

The Smiths are known for their unique parenting style, stating that they “do not believe in punishments.” A family source told TMZ that the parents Willow is “very mature,” and that she can make her own decisions, as long as they don’t clearly cross the line.

Arias is said to have known the Smith family for some time. He is good friends with Willow’s brother, Jaden. Arias’ blog features numerous photos of Willow, Jaden, and their pals Kendall and Kylie Jenner. The controversial photo remains on his blog.
