Actress Jada Pinkett Smith is furious with the media over the backlash surrounding an Instagram photo (see below) of her daughter Willow Smith, 13, with Moises Arias, 20. 

It’s easy to see how the photo could be misinterpreted. Moises, known for his role as Rico in Hannah Montana, is pictured shirtless leaning up against a wall on a bed in which Willow is lying across. However, Willow is completely dressed and does not appear to be making contact with Moises.

But their differences in age and the fact that they are both on the same bed fueled rumors that Willow was involved with a much older man.

Enraged by the accusations and interested in protecting her daughter’s reputation, Jada slammed the media in a video obtained by TMZ.

“Here’s the deal,” Jada said. “There was nothing sexual about that picture or that situation.”

“You guys are projecting your trash into it,” she added. “You’re acting like covert pedophiles and that’s not cool.”

Moises is reportedly one of Jaden Smith’s friends.
