Jagger's girlfriend, L'Wren Scott, took her own life in March.
According to a report from The Associated Press, Coldplay dedicated “Fix You” to Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger at a concert in New York City on Monday.
“It’s for Mick Jagger,” Chris Martin, who recently split with Gwyneth Paltrow, told the audience.
It’s been a rough year for Jagger, as his longtime girlfriend, L’Wren Scott, took her own life in March.
Rolling Stone magazine reports that a memorial service for Scott took place last Friday at NYC’s St. Bartholomew’s Church. Family and friends of Jagger and Scott’s attended the service, including celebrity friends such as Jessica Parker, Martin Scorsese and Meg Ryan.
“I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way,” said a grieving Jagger in a statement shortly after Scott’s suicide. “We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves.”
