Angelina Jolie is one of the most talked about actresses in all of Hollywood who just happens to be married to one of the most talked about actors in all of Hollywood, Brad Pitt. Now, Jolie is opening up about her relationship with Pitt and her six children. Jolie appears on the cover of the June issue of Elle magazine.

“I never thought I’d have children,” Jolie told Elle. “I never thought I’d be in love, I never thought I’d meet the right person. Having come from a broken home—you kind of accept that certain things feel like a fairy tale, and you just don’t look for them.”

For Jolie, the “right person” was Pitt. They met and fell in love while filming Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2004, when Pitt was still in a relationship with Friends star Jennifer Aniston. Jolie and Pitt are currently engaged.

“You get together and you’re two individuals and you feel inspired by each other, you challenge each other, you complement each other, drive each other beautifully crazy,” she said about Pitt.

Disney’s Maleficent, starring Jolie, will hit theaters on May 30.
