TMZ reports that Ben Affleck may have a new place to play his favorite card game after getting the boot from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas for counting cards.
“The D Las Vegas is not afraid of Ben Affleck winning a few hands in a row,” Derek Stevens, owner of The D Casino Hotel and Golden Gate Hotel in Las Vegas, told TMZ. “Ben can come play blackjack and not worry about security walking him out!”
Last Week, Affleck’s high rollers table was surrounded by security and the actor was asked to leave. A source told PEOPLE that security said that they had to stop him because he was “too good.”
While he wasn’t doing anything illegal, counting cards isn’t going to make you a popular person at a gambling establishment.
By now, Affleck’s gambling success is well known, having pulled in $800,000 playing blackjack at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in 2001. The New York Daily News cites witnesses who say that Affleck happily handed out more than $150,000 in tips from his winnings to dealers and waitresses.
