The married couple walked around Los Angeles hand-in-hand, and were very "affectionate" with each other.
Reality television stars Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott stepped out together publicly Saturday, getting massages and lunching together according to E! Online.
The married couple with four young children enjoyed their day out together, despite the marriage troubles detailed in the pair’s reality television show True Tori.
On the show, McDermott, 47, confesses to cheating on Spelling, 40, with another woman. “I didn’t think that I would get caught,” says McDermott to a friend, on the show. “I was drinking and using drugs.”
McDermott’s drug dependency is also a common issue discussed on the show. The actor reportedly completed a stay in a rehabilitation facility recently. The couple has entered counseling, segments of which air on True Tori.
However, while getting Thai massages and eating lunch at The Infield in Los Angeles, a source tells E! Online that the couple were “very sweet and affectionate” with each other.
Spelling and McDermott also held hands “everywhere they went,” adds the source.
The affectionate day out for the married duo comes amid reports that Spelling and McDermott may be “faking” the cheating scandal for the show.
Whether or not the suspicions are accurate, the cheating scandal is not a positive boost for True Tori ratings.
According to Radar Online, Lifetime’s True Tori pulled in 1.05 million viewers for its most recent episodes, which is a far cry from its most direct competition: TLC’s The Little Couple scored 2.28 million viewers for the same episodes.
In addition, True Tori‘s second week saw a 127,000-viewer drop, compared to its first.
The show airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. EST.
