"The metal claws had to go-you can't have bits and pieces flying off," the actor said on a UK TV show.
During a recent appearance onĀ The Graham Norton Show, Hugh Jackman revealed that he almost castrated himself with Wolverine’s claws while filmingĀ X-Men: Days of Future Past.
“There was a very intense first scene and I insisted on a closed set,” Jackman explained. “I ran around the corner and all the female members of the crew were gathered there.”
“I tried to cover myself and cut my inner thigh,” Jackman added. “It was just the inner thigh, thankfully. The metal claws had to go-you can’t have bits and pieces flying off.”
Also appearing with Jackman were X-Men cast members Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy.
The best moment of the show arrived when Jackman and his fellow actors decided to dance to Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines for the audience.

Jackman will appear as Wolverine in X-Men: Days of Future Past, which hits theaters on May 23.
