Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence topped FHM magazine’s annual list of the world’s sexiest women.

The British men’s magazine noted that Lawrence’s career has propelled into the “stratosphere” over the past year, and in that time the world has fallen “face-over-arse in love with her.”

In addition, the magazine declares the down-to-earth actress as “so freaking awesome.”

The list is decided by readers’ votes, who vote through the magazine’s website, email, text, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

Lawrence, 23, a Kentucky native, has indeed taken Hollywood by storm during her relatively short time in the spotlight. In 2012, she won the Best Actress Oscar for her role in Silver Linings Playbook and famously tripped on her dress while ascending the stairs.

In addition to winning numerous other accolades for her work, including a BAFTAs, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award, Lawrence stars in major blockbuster Hollywood hits.

She is perhaps most famous for portraying Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games  film series. She has also had box office success as Mystique in the X-Men film series.

Other women on FHM’s annual list include English actress Michelle Keegan, singer Rihanna and “Blurred Lines” music video star Emily Ratajkowski, who rounded out the second, third and fourth spots, respectively.
