Must see: Jonah Hill, Leonardo DeCaprio re-enact Titanic on SNL [VIDEO]

A great skit with the 'Wolf of Wall Street' stars.

Jonah Hill hosted Saturday Night Live this past weekend, riding high off of his Academy Award nomination for Martin Scorsese’s film Wolf of Wall Street. Hill’s third time hosting the sketch show started out with his expressing graciousness about his second Oscar nomination but quickly turned into some big shot bragging behavior talking about his costar Leonardo DiCaprio, which was spurred after being probed by “audience” members on questions about DiCaprio and how great he is. Funny guy Hill continued:

“I call up Marty Scorsese, I say, ‘Marty its JH. I’m ready to get in the ring together.’ He says, ‘Finally, then I say, ‘Should we get DiCaprio on board?’ And Marty says, ‘I don’t know if he can handle it. Sure he’s a movie star and puts teenage girls in the seats. But we need a real actor like you.'”

Not to miss out on the fun, DiCaprio emerges from backstage and joins Hill on stage, calls him out for boasting, and schools him on being more humble and honest. Hill feigning nervousness says:

“Remember when we were on set and I’d great really nervous? Can we do the thing that we did every time? The thing that made me feel safe.”

The safety zone that emerges is none other than the romantic “flying” scene in Titanic we first witnessed by DiCaprio and Kate Winslet on the tip of the boat. When the set ended DiCaprio and Hill embraced in a bear hug.

During a recent interview with Howard Stern, Hill discussed how he accepted the SAG minimum payment he was offered for a chance to join the cast Wolf of Wall Street. He said:

“I would sell my house to work for (Scorsese), I would have done anything in the world. I would do it again in a second.”
