O'Donnell, whose time on the show has been described as "stormy," will make her first guest appearance since her departure years ago.
Former host Rosie O’Donnell is slated to make her first guest appearance on “The View” since her departure seven years ago, according to People.
“The View” announced Monday that the comedian will appear on the show Feb. 7.
During her tenure on the show, O’Donnell often argued with co-host Elisabeth Hasselback, who now co-hosts “Fox and Friends,” and had a public feud with investor Donald Trump.
According to the Associated Press, co-host and show creator Barbara Walters resented O’Donnell’s tendencies to “dump” on the show.
Despite this, Walters had said that she has affection for the comedian, calling her a “lively and engaging guest.” Walters has also announced that this is her last season as a co-host on the show.
O’Donnell has publicly stated that she suffered from something akin to post-traumatic stress disorder after leaving the show.
In that time she made several appearances on television series, including “Queer as Folk,” “Nip/Tuck” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” Her most recent work includes a spot on “The Fosters.”
“The View,” currently hosted by Whoopi Goldberg, Jenny McCarthy, Sherri Shepherd and Walters, is in its seventeenth season. It airs on weekdays at 11 a.m. on ABC.
