A photo posted Friday to pop singer Justin Bieber’s Instagram account shows the star enveloped in the arms of his on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez.

The image has received more than 1.34 million “likes” as of press time.

In the image, Gomez, 21, hugs her former flame from behind, gazing at him sweetly. Bieber, 19, captioned the image, “Love the way you look at me.”

The image was published just days after photos of the pair riding segways around The Oaks in California surfaced, according to E! Online. The photos were the first images showing the couple together in months, driving some media outlets to speculate that the on-again, off-again couple is indeed “on-again.”

The couple originally ended their relationship in November 2012.

In a Dec. 18 interview with a hip-hop radio station, Bieber stated that the break-up “affected us, especially when we are in front of so many people. It’s such a public thing. It’s just hard for the both of us. But you know, she’s a great woman.”

“I love her till this day,” he said.
