Lottery Officials say there were two Mega Millions winners, one in California and one in Georgia.

There were two big Mega Millions winners in last night’s drawing, one who bought a ticket in San Jose, California and someone who purchased a ticket in Atlanta, Georgia, according to lottery officials.

The final Mega Millions jackpot total is expected to be announced once the sales figures are calculated but it’s estimated to be upwards of $636 million.

“It was a great run,” Paula Otto, Virginia Lottery Executive said in a news release. “We have two jackpot winners, but the most important programs supported by the 45 Mega Millions lotteries are the real winners. During this 22-drawing run, the lotteries generated more than $300 million in profits for those programs.

The winning California Mega Millions ticket was sold at Jennifer’s Gift Shop on Tully Road in San Jose.  California had two other $1 million winners: one in San Diego and one in Chula Vista.  California Lottery reports that it sold more than 3 million total winning tickets.

Georgia Lottery officials say there were also two $1 million winners: one in Columbus and the other in Winder.

The winning Mega Millions numbers for last night’s jackpot were 8-14-17-20-39, Mega: 7, Megaplier: 4.
