Authorities aren’t giving out much information, but there are ongoing reports of bombs or explosives on the historic campus. The unconfirmed reports state that four sites on campus are at risk: Science Center, Thayer, Sever, and Emerson. At around 9:00 a.m., Harvard police evacuated those buildings.

At this time, access to Harvard Yard has been restricted to residents of the Yard with Harvard ID. As of a 10:40 a.m. update, the report remained unconfirmed and the HUPD has no reason to believe there is a threat to any other site on campus. HUPD are continuing their investigation.

There is no information regarding the size or nature of the alleged explosives reported on or around Harvard Yard.
