Report: Kim, Kanye planning wedding at France’s famed Palace of Versailles

If Kanye's proposal to Kim is any indication of how big he will want their wedding to be, than the cost is sure to make headlines.

According to a report from Us Weekly, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are planning their wedding at France’s Palace of Versailles.

“Kanye has never been married and wants a big [event],” an insider told Us Weekly. Kim, on the other hand, has been married twice before. First, she married Damon Thomas in 2000, but they divorced four years later. More recently, she married Kris Humphries. The ex-couple finalized their divorce this year.

Though Kimye and many of their friends and family may not have concerns about the cost of such an elaborate locale, Kim was widely criticized for her $10 million wedding to Humphries in 2011. According to CBS News, the bride and groom’s wedding cake cost $20,000, which is nearly as much as most weddings total. Kim’s marriage to Kris lasted only 72 days.

When Kanye popped the question in October, he hired a 50-piece orchestra and reserved AT&T Park in San Francisco. According to People, Kanye proposed on one knee. The proposal also included fireworks, the aforementioned orchestra, a Kanye West-designed ring and a big screen that said: “Pleeease Marry Meeee.”
