Miranda Kerr on photoshopped Instagram pic: ‘I had no idea’

On Friday, an embarrassed Kerr posted the original photo to Instagram and apologized to her fans.

Supermodel Miranda Kerr is in a bit of hot water after she uploaded a photoshopped photo of herself and fellow angels Doutzen Kroes and Alessanda Ambrosio at the 2012 VS Fashion Show to Instagram. “Sending love and best wishes to the #vsangels from Japan xxx,” she said in a message accompanying the photoshopped Instagram pic.

According to Us Weekly, Kerr posted the photoshopped photo on Tuesday. It was almost the same as the one she posted on Instagram in November 2012. However, the photoshopped photo had several changes, including a slimmer Kerr (leaner waist) and a retouched face. Interestingly, Kroes and and Ambrosio’s faces stayed the same.

On Friday, an embarrassed Kerr posted the original photo to Instagram and apologized to her fans.

“I had no idea it was photoshopped,” she said in a statement accompanying the photo. “All good intentions – sorry for the confusion and congratulations to the girls for such a great show!”

Some of her followers weren’t quite sure that they believed the former Victoria’s Secret super model.

“I think Miranda knew it was Photoshop. She used it as a publicity stunt to draw attention,” one commenter said.

But others were supportive of Kerr’s apology.

“Y’all are so silly with negative comments… Mistakes happens…get over it,” one commenter remarked.

In April, Us Weekly reported that Miranda was no longer an angel. “I’m just not in a position to commit to a full contract at this time,” Kerr said in a statement shortly thereafter.
