Just when you think you’ve seen it all, Jean Claude Van Damme does an epic split between two semi trucks in a new Volvo ad.

“I’ve had my ups and downs,” Van Damme says in the ad. “My fair share of bumpy roads and heavy winds. That’s what made me what I am today.”

Van Damme is a movie action hero best known for films like “Universal Soldier” and “Double Impact.”

“Now I stand here before you. What you see is a body crafted to perfection,” Van Damme he adds. “A pair of legs engineered to defy the laws of physics and a mindset to master the most epic of splits.”

As the camera pans out, Van Damme does an epic split between two moving Volvo semi trucks. During the death-defying stunt, Van Damme appears to be only moments from death.

Of course, everyone is wondering: is it real? According to the New York Daily News, Volvo says that the insane ad utilized no computer effects. However, the action hero’s safety lines were airbrushed out of the commercial to make it look as real as possible.

In fat, Volvo spokesman Anders Vilhelmsson told USA Today that “actor did do the split between the moving trucks.”

“There were rehearsals for several days,” he added. “But what you see in the film that is one take without any breaks.”

Since being posted to YouTube, the video has pulled in nearly 14 million views and counting.
