2 Chainz is robbed during his time in San Francisco.

Hip-hop recording artist Tauheed Epps, otherwise known as 2 Chainz, was reportedly robbed at gunpoint in downtown San Francisco over the weekend.

The Los Angeles Times reports that the rapper was walking with five members of his entourage late Sunday afternoon when three men approached, one of them holding a handgun. Police say a shot was fired and both Epps’ wallet and cellphone were stolen, with the suspects escaping in a gray sedan. Epps was in the area because he was scheduled to perform at a local radio station’s Summer Jam concert that night at the Oracle Arena in Oakland.

Despite reports of the incident, Epps seems to denying it ever happened, according to Billboard.

On Monday, in responding to countless questions from fans regarding the robbery, he tweeted, “Rule #1 if a rapper gets robbed people usually post items that has been taken. Rings, chains, watch, money etc. 2 answer that question” and “Rule#2 if a rapper gets shot he usually go to hospital or dies.”

Something that we know for sure happened in San Francisco is that he did enjoy himself, as two minutes after those two tweets he wrote, “Rule# 3 we definitely got geeked up in San Fran, best smoke in the world. 2 blessed 2 stress.”

While Epps may be claiming the robbery didn’t happen, police told MTV News that one one was harmed during the event and the Grammy-nominated rapper “is listed as a victim of a stolen wallet containing credit cards, U.S. currency and a cell phone.”

However, a report by Radio.com says Epps wasn’t the victim of the robbery, but rather someone else in his entourage. The report says that upon being approached by a person with a gun most of the group scattered, except for one person who “reportedly fell to the ground and was approached by the suspect ‘who robbed him of an unknown item and fled the scene.'”

Amid the conflicting accounts, an interesting thing to note is that the reported robbery took place outside a medical marijuana dispensary. Epps was arrested this past Valentine’s Day for allegedly possessing marijuana and paraphernalia. That night, he was on his way to perform at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore when he was pulled over for speeding, in which an officer then noticed “a strong odor of burned marijuana was emanating from the vehicle.” When the vehicle was searched, they found paraphernalia containing a trace amount of marijuana. He was taken to the police station, issued a criminal citation for drug charges and was released after providing his signature.
