When the future comes knocking, you should probably answer. And when the future is scantily clad, and accessible 24/7, you might grab a pair of Google Glasses to get a new perspective, bringing a new approach to the first person POV (point of view) experience.

Google Glass is something straight out of a cyberpunk novel, where the world around you is augmented, altered by what content, you choose to see. Clearly, this eliminates the issue experienced by some of encountering porn viewers at local stops such as the library, the coffee house, or the airplane.

As reported by ComplexTech, this new technology might just lead to Internet censorship. And that’s something to consider. Moreover, there is a creative bridge to cross, and it isn’t a smut-filled walkway. But let’s be honest here, there are levels of adult entertainment, and it’s all not built the same.

MiKandi, a company that calls itself “the world’s first and largest adult app store,” are developing an app to make even the most discerning viewer blush. It’s open sourced adult entertainment (as porn director Ed Powers prefers to call it), but let’s just call it porn. And that’s what all the lucky Google Glass testers are going to have the advantage of trying.

In the 1993 made for TV movie, “Wild Palms,” produced by Oliver Stone, the characters used a chemical that helped them interact with characters on television. Essentially, it felt real. While Google Glass hasn’t gotten that far, the fact that a user can explore hands-free interaction in a virtual setting is simply, science fiction playing out in the real world.

According to the Google Glass website, applications for the product are currently closed. The majority of will have to wait, but the lucky few out there might be awaiting a new app from MiKandi to arrive in the Google Play Store.

MiKandi co-founder Jennifer McEwen hinted to Blue that the wearable aspect of Google Glass might be used in the production of adult content. McEwen added that Google Glass is perfect for shooting POV video — that’s what they’re experimenting with first.

“But what’s really interesting about Glass is that it’s not just a hands free camera,” McEwen said. “It can receive and send data, so there are a lot of interesting interactions that we want to explore.”

As with most man-made, there will likely be some controversy, a little backlash, and something in between. But just as the oldest profession is said to be prostitution, so too, human nature’s curiosity, and sexuality are going to be a part of our technological advances.
