Amanda Bynes responded Thursday to former ‘N Sync member Lance Bass’ comments on Las Vegas’ Mark & Mercedes 94.1.

Speaking Wednesday, Bass said that he is extremely concerned about the former “All That” star.

“It’s one of those situations where obviously there’s some mental problems there and she’s not able to see that” Bass told the radio show.

Bass admitted that he’s “really scared for her” and that he hopes someone can get her the “help she needs.”

While Bass’ comments were certainly nothing more than heartfelt concern from a dear friend, Bynes clearly didn’t see his remarks that way. The troubled actress took to Twitter to slam Bass for suggesting that she has mental problems.

“I ignored Lance Bass on Twitter and now he is saying I have a mental illness,” she tweeted. “Sorry you’re an ugly ex boy band member w/ no talent or career.”

When Bynes starts a Twitter war, the best thing to do is to run and hide because the actress is known for tweeting some pretty nasty things. Unfortunately, Lance decided to take her on. “Either this is a fake person or she really does have a mental illness,” Bass tweeted in response.

“You’re making me crazy,” Bynes tweeted back. The war of words continued, but went on for far too long to reprint in this post.

Interestingly, these aren’t even close to the most offensive comments she’s ever tweeted. In March, the actress tweeted that she wanted Drake to “murder [her] vagina.” She also tried to claim fame to coming up with the phrase lol. “I created the phrase Ily & lololol. *proud*”
