Bieber is under investigation.
Someone should remind Justin Bieber that driving is a privilege and not a right before he gets his license taken away for good.
TMZ reports that the 19-year-old singer was allegedly spotted speeding in his Ferrari by neighbors in his Calabasas gated community on Monday night.
One such neighborhood was former NFL wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson. Johnson reportedly saw Bieber blazing by as he was leaving a party with his child. The football star brought his child home and then preceded to follow Bieber in hopes of confronting him about his reckless driving. However, a confrontation never happened, as Bieber ran inside his house and refused to come out or speak to Johnson. When police arrived on the scene in response to neighbor’s complaints of Bieber driving at a “startling high rate of speed,” the Canadian pop star wouldn’t speak to them either.
No comments from Bieber’s reps have been made yet on the matter. However, another one of his neighbors, NFL Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson, hasn’t been shy about voicing his opinion on the issue. On Tuesday, he tweeted, “I live in Calabasas too and @justinbieber needs to slow his ass down.” Dickerson also told TMZ that he understands Johnson’s decision to try to confront Bieber saying, “I don’t blame Keyshawn, he’s got kids… I would’ve been the same way … when you’re a father it takes on a whole new meaning.”
Regardless of whether or not Monday’s incident is true, it’s wouldn’t be the first time Bieber has been called out on his dangerous driving habits. According to the Daily Mail, Bieber is currently facing a battery charge in the aftermath of a confrontation he had with his neighbor this past March concerning his driving. The male neighborhood reportedly went onto Bieber’s property to complain that he was driving too fast around the community, in which Bieber responded by spitting in his face and saying, “Get the f**k out of here,” as well as “I’m gonna f**king kill you.”
Last summer, Bieber was also pulled over on the 101 Freeway in Los Angeles for allegedly going over 100 miles per hour and was cited for reckless driving. Bieber claimed that he was speeding to get away from paparazzi, but L.A. City Councilman Dennis Zine didn’t care very much for that excuse. At the time, Zine told the New York Daily News, “The way (Bieber) was driving was totally reckless, I would have arrested him if I had pulled him over. I wouldn’t have given him a ticket and let him go.”
