Amanda Seyfried: I lost my ‘huge breasts’ when I came to Hollywood

Seyfried discusses her breasts on the The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Actress Amanda Seyfried may have an great body nowadays, but she thinks she looked more attractive as a teenager when she sported a more voluptuous figure.

USA Today reports that the 27-year-old “Les Miserables” star revealed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Thursday that she used to posses a large bust before falling into the pressures of looking good in the Hollywood spotlight.

“I looked way better when I was 15,” she told DeGeneres. “I had huge breasts, and then I came to Hollywood and I was like ‘I got to lose weight. I got to look thin and fit,’ and I lost them a little bit.”

Seyfried explains that the lose of her D cup size coincided with her weight loss of 10 pounds. She said she didn’t miss her former bust size, as “they were quite uncomfortable,” however, she did mention that she misses how beautiful they looked.

She also talked about her figure prior to Tinsletown, saying, “I was feminine. I had some nice curves and I think that we should really appreciate that as opposed to trying to get rid of everything.”

Acceptance of one’s body image is something Seyfried has learned over the years. When DeGeneres asked her if she thinks she looks good naked, Seyfried responded, “At this point in my life I do. Because you know what, it just doesn’t matter anymore. You just have to like, when you’re young you don’t appreciate it, and I feel like everyone that’s a bit older wishes they appreciated when they were young.”

This is not the first time Seyfried is opening up about her breasts and body image. She recently discussed both topics in the May issue of Allure magazine, according to the New York Daily News.

In the magazine article, she reminisces about going from a D cup to a small C, saying “There was something so beautiful about the size of them. When I look back, I’m like, ‘Why did I always give myself such a hard time?’ Nobody gave me s–t about it except me.”

Moreover, she explained how portraying 1970’s porn star Linda Lovelace in the 2013 movie “Lovelace” enabled her to feel comfortable in her own skin in way she never experienced. She credits the role for helping her accept her body the way it is, saying, “I’ve got parts of me that I wish were tighter, but I don’t kill myself, because it’s not worth it.”
