Miley Cyrus’s engagement with long-time beau Liam Hemsworth has been the source of much speculation and gossip, but now there shouldn’t be any doubt about the couple’s status after Cyrus posted a picture of her engagement ring on Twitter.

Cyrus and Hemsworth have been dating since 2009 and Hemsworth proposed to her in May of 2012.  Hemsworth gave Cyrus a 3.5 carat Neil Lane ring and because the ring isn’t always on Cyrus’s finger, there has been a lot of talk about the couple possibly being split up.  Any girls who were hoping that the wedding was off and that Hemsworth is on the market will be sorely disappointed now that Cyrus has made it very clear that the two are still engaged with the picture she tweeted.

During an interview with V Magazine, Cyrus addressed the rumors and talked about how much they bother her.  “I’m not home with my boyfriend all the time. We work. Every week it’s ‘Are they broken up? Because we don’t see a photo of them,’” Cyrus commented.  A source close to Cyrus talked about her decision to post the engagement ring picture, something she didn’t seem to think Hemsworth would approve of since he is a private person.

“The picture was definitely a message to the haters,” the source said.  “Miley is trying not to overshare on social media because it’s something that has always been an issue between her and Liam Hemsworth.  She promised him she would be more private, but she can’t help herself once in awhile.”

A lot of Cyrus’s fans responded to the picture by saying they were ecstatic while another poster sarcastically commented, “Everyone can take a deep breath Miley Cyrus is wearing her engagement ring again all is well.”

Cyrus, who was recently listed in the #1 spot on Maxim’s Hot 100 List, hasn’t set a wedding date with Hemsworth yet, but since they have been dating for a few years and are living together, it appears they are comfortable with things are and aren’t in a big rush to make things official.

The young couple stays very busy, something that might hinder any wedding planning. Hemsworth has been busy with the “Hunger Games” films, where he plays Katniss Everdeen’s friend/love interest Gale.  The second installment of the series, “Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” is coming out later this year.  While Hemsworth has been busy filming, Cyrus has been working on her fourth studio album.  The album doesn’t yet have a release date, although it has been confirmed that it will come out sometime this year.  The first single from the album will be released in June, “We Can’t Stop.”
