Swedish police find a small amount of drugs and a stun gun on the pop star's tour bus.
Trouble strikes Justin Bieber in Europe yet again. This time, the pop singer didn’t smuggle in a monkey or make a questionable comment regarding a historical figure. Instead, the trouble related to something of more standard teenage fare–drugs were found on his tour bus.
Bieber was in Sweden for his “Believe” tour when police smelled marijuana coming from his bus. After making Bieber and nine others leave the bus, the officers conducted their search. The search yielded a small amount of drugs, which haven’t yet been officially identified, as well as a stun gun. A local Swedish newspaper reported that the drugs were indeed marijuana, but officials sent the substance off to the lab for testing.
Even though having possession of marijuana and a stun gun (which requires a permit) is illegal in Sweden, no arrests have been made. Police spokesman Varg Jyllander spoke to Sky News regarding the incident and said that Bieber is free to leave the country and that the issue is “not a high priority.”
That’s good news for Bieber, who has recently faced fines for the above-mentioned monkey smuggling as well as giving someone a tattoo illegally in NYC.
A source close to Bieber denies that there were any drugs on the bus.
“The cops found nothing and left. No violations. Nothing,” the individual told Fox.
This doesn’t exactly mesh with what police officials have said, since they’ve confirmed they at least found something suspicious enough to warrant testing.
Bieber dismissed the incident on his Twitter page: “some of the rumors about me….where do people even get this stuff. whatever…back to the music.”
Bieber has been criticized for a couple other events relating to his “Believe” tour, both of which occurred in London back in March. The first issue was when he was late for a show and the second was for a fight he had with a photographer. A video captured Bieber cursing out the photographer while his body guard held him back. Once again, he mostly dismissed the incident on Twitter, chalking up the events to having a “rough week.”
Bieber’s constant problems haven’t seemed to cost him any standing with his “Beliebers”–the fans are packing the arenas he plays at. His tour started back in September of 2012 and is set to wrap up in August. With a tour that is nearly a year in length, it’s almost no wonder the 19-year-old is having so many issues.
