Middleton's bump is showing.

Fans and admirers of Duchess Kate finally got a glimpse of the royal baby bump when she filled in for the Queen at the National Review of Queen’s Scouts at Windsor Castle.  Kate attended the event wearing a pastel Mulberry coat that nicely showed off the baby bump on her slender body.

While the Queen was attending her private birthday celebration Sunday–she turned 87, making her the second longest-reigning British monarch–Kate attended the event that celebrates volunteerism. The Queen’s Scouts recognizes Boy Scouts who achieve certain accomplishments that include community service, working on a residential project and completing a four-day expedition.  The Queen’s Scouts review dates back more than 80 years.

Kate spent the day interacting with the Boy Scouts while she was filling in for the Queen. Participating with local scouts is something Kate does often according to Scouts spokesperson Simon Carter.

Kate, 31, is six months pregnant and is due in July.  The royal couple announced the pregnancy in December after more than a year of speculation over how long it would take the couple to have a baby.

In what is one of the most highly publicized celebrity pregnancies in the world right now, followers are anxious for any new information relating to the pregnancy.

So far, the Royal Family is keeping the gender of the baby a secret, but some people believe Kate accidentally let it slip that the couple is having a girl.  Back in March, when someone handed Kate a teddy bear, she replied, “Thank you, I will take that for my d…” but stopped short of actually saying “daughter.”

Kate and William’s child will be third in line for the throne of England, after Prince William and Prince Charles, regardless of whether the child is a boy or girl.  Up until late 2011 when the rules changed, a daughter wouldn’t be directly in line for the throne if a son was born later.

Duchess Kate had to go to the hospital in December for problems relating to the pregnancy.  Her brief visit was for a rare pregnancy disorder called hyperemesis gravidarum (severe morning sickness).  While Kate was in the hospital, a prank phone call made by a couple of radio disc jockeys to find out more information about the visit led to a suicide scandal.  Other than the one hospital visit, her pregnancy has been problem-free.
