Bieber and Gomez have been known to exchange personal messages about their relationship through song.
We all know that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber’s relationship didn’t end well, but was it really that bad? The actress recently posted a video on YouTube of her and her friends dancing to Dustin Tavella’s, “Everybody Knows (Your Boyfriend is a Douchebag).” Is Gomez trying to send a message to Bieber?
The New York Daily News notes that Gomez and her friends appear to beĀ lip synching the words, suggesting that they may be referring to a certain someone that dated the “Spring Breakers” actress until recently. The Daily News adds that Bieber and Gomez have been known to exchange personal messages about their relationship through song.
For example, a source told Us Weekly back in January that Bieber responded to Gomez’s rendition of “Cry Me A River” with a song called, “Nothing Like Us.” The song is one of three new tracks on Bieber’s “BelieveĀ Acoustic” album. The source said that the song paints a picture of Bieber’s break up with the 20-year-old actress.
Is Gomez’s video a jab at Bieber’s bizarre behavior in the UK? While on tour in the UK, the Canadian pop star has stormed out of a club, tried to fight with a photographer, showed up late to one of his shows and collapsed on stage. To the outside observer, this type of behavior might be typical of a wealthy and extremely popular pop star, but Bieber’s actions could also be the result of the emotional turmoil created by his break up with Gomez.
While it’s entirely possible that Gomez and her friends simply love dancing to Tavella’s song, we’re certain, based on her history with Bieber, that she wanted the Biebs to watch her video.
Was this Gomez’s subtle or not so subtle way of calling Bieber a “douchebag?” Is Bieber’s behavior in London the result of his split with Gomez? Share your thoughts in the comments section.
