Is Bieber hooked on sizzurp?
Canadian pop star Justin Bieber may have dropped weed for sizzurp, according to TMZ. Although TMZ has yet to publish the photos in question, the gossip website reports that Bieber partied with Lil Za and Lil Twist this week and that there are photos that seem to show a sizable bottle of codeine at the party (also known as sizzurp.)
TMZ says that the photos also show Justin, Lil Za and Lil Twist at a table preparing blunts. At the same table are two sets of double cups. In another photo, Bieber can be seen drinking out of a double cup. However, TMZ points out that sources close to the singer vehemently deny that he uses the drug. The website points out that there’s no photographic evidence of anyone actually consuming the drug.
Back in January, TMZ published photos of the megastar smoking what seemed to be marijuana with the same pals in a California hotel room.
“Everyday growing and learning. Trying to be better. U get knocked down, u get up,” Bieber tweeted shortly after the photos were published. “I see all of u. I hear all of u. I never want to let any of you down. I love u.”
Back in October 2011, rapper Lil Wayne confirmed his addiction to sizzurp. In a documentary-style video, Lil Wayne said that he imbibed the codeine-based drink only because he was “sick.” The rapper also admitted that he first started using the drug when his idol, Pimp C would rap about it. Pimp C died of an overdose of sizzurp in 2007.
However, in the video Lil Wayne said he stopped using sizzurp in 2010 because he’s “not sick anymore.”
It has been a rough year for the Biebs. The singer reportedly split with his Selena Gomez during their New Year’s vacation in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico. A source told Us Weekly at the time that Bieber and Gomez had a “had another huge fight, and Selena won’t forgive him.”
However, the flame of passion may not have gone out for one of Hollywood’s youngest couples. According to E! News, Gomez was recently spotted leaving Bieber’s home in Los Angeles, California. The actress was reportedly being escorted from the house by a man known as Justin’s bodyguard.
In the meantime, Bieber found out this weekend that he doesn’t even have to be in a picture to stir up controversy. The singer’s Ferrari, which is the same car that freelance photographer Chris Guerra was trying to photograph when he was fatally struck by an oncoming car last month, was pulled over early Friday morning, according to E! News. Bieber wasn’t behind the wheel, say sources.
