Liberty Ross, the wife of “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders, has filed for divorce after her hubby’s fling with Kristen Stewart. According to TMZ, Ross recently filed her paperwork in L.A. County Superior Court and is asking for joint custody of their children.

In addition to joint custody of their children, TMZ notes that Ross is also asking for spousal support and attorney fees. Sanders, who has filed his response to the divorce petition, is also requesting joint custody of their children, but is not asking for spousal support. However, the director is asking that he and his wife share attorney fees.

According to the New York Daily News, Ross will be represented by attorney Laura Wesser who has also represented Ryan Reynolds, Heidi Klum, Britney Spears and Kim Kardashian.

Ross and Sanders’ marriage was thrust into the spotlight in July 2012 when Sanders was caught cheating on the English model and actress with Stewart, who was dating “Twilight” co-star Robert Pattinson at the time.

Although the media had a field day coming up with embarassing headlines for the scandal, Stewart issued an apology in an attempt to mend the bonds she had severed because of her actions.

“I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected,” Stewart said in a statement after her affair with Sanders was made public via a set of scandalous photos. “This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.”

Sanders and Ross went to see a marriage counselor to try and fix their troubled marriage, but Ross may have seen Sander’s infidelity as a signal to move forward with her life.

“I believe we’re all on journeys and we’re all given lessons at certain times in our life, sometimes when things seem really bad you have to be able to see the good and learn from it and move forward as graciously as possible,” Ross said in one of designer Alexander Wang’s “Confessional” videos several months before filing for divorce.

While Sanders is losing a wife and Ross is moving on, Stewart and Robert Pattinson are still going strong, according to E! Online. A source told the website that despite rumors to the contrary, “all is good.” The source also said that Stewart “plans on going to visit [Robert] at some point” while he is filming in Australia “but definitely not now.” This is great news for “Twilight” fans and Will Ferrell.
