Report: Justin Bieber is ‘uncomfortable’ with mom’s anti-abortion film

Bieber not happy with mom's anti-abortion film

Singer Justin Bieber may be “uncomfortable” with his mom’s anti-abortion film, according to a source that spoke with the Chicago Sun-Times. Bieber’s mom, Pattie Mallette, is the executive producer of an anti-abortion film, titled “Crescendo.” Mallette and the film’s producers hope to raise $10 million for pregnancy centers at screenings worldwide starting February 28.

“Justin just is very uncomfortable about political issues — especially ones like abortion that are very divisive,” a source told the newspaper. “He’s all about entertaining his fans with his music and not interested in pushing a political agenda. Furthermore, I don’t believe he agrees with his mom on this issue.”

According to The Associated Press, Bieber’s mom plans to attend some of the screenings.

Forbes reports that Mallette was only 18 years old when she had Bieber. The pop star’s ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez, was also raised by a teen mom. In her book, “Nowhere But Up: The Story of Justin Bieber’s Mom,” Mallette discusses her decision to keep her child when she became pregnant at the age of seventeen.

In a statement released to The AP, Mallette said that she’d like “Crescendo” to help pregnant teenagers worldwide realize that there’s always someone they can turn to for help and guidance.

Discussion of his mom’s film is heating up just as Bieber is trying his hand at a little damage control after he was photographed holding a blunt January 2. To make matters worse, the photographs were taken shortly after a paparazzo was killed trying to take a photo of Bieber’s Ferrari.

More recently, Bieber tweeted a photo of his naked butt to his fans.

According to the source who spoke with the Chicago Sun-Times, Bieber’s lack of excitement about his mom’s film may just be a side effect of being constantly surrounded by controversy.

“So soon after a lot of relatively negative stories tied to his own actions,” the source said. “First there was the alleged drug use, then the mooning photo on Twitter this weekend. He doesn’t need this on top of it.”

Will you go see a screening of Mallette’s movie? Is Bieber tired of controversy or is he pro-choice? Sound off in the comments section.
