Lohan facing more problems.
Lindsay Lohan, or at least her attorney, Shawn Holley, was back in court today to plead not guilty on Lohan’s behalf, to three misdemeanor charges against her. Lohan is being charged for lying to police, reckless driving and obstructing police from performing their duties, all stemming from a car accident last June 2012.
Lohan’s legal representation has also been in the spotlight. Shawn Holley, Lohan’s longtime attorney, who represented her today in court, was reportedly fired. Though, Holley appeared in court telling the judge that “the representation issue will be nailed down in time for the next hearing.”
The accident occurred while shooting ‘Liz and Dick,’ the Lifetime film where Lohan played Elizabeth Taylor, which was panned by critics and fans. The film was supposed to be a comeback opportunity for Lohan, who has spent the last few years battling demons before the public eye. A week after the accident, Lohan was late to a shoot for the movie, as paramedics rushed to Lohan’s hotel. Her publicist attributed her absence to dehydration and fatigue.
To make matters worse, Lohan’s probation for a 2011 jewelry theft has been revoked today. She could face up to 245 days in jail, if a judge determines she violated her probation.
Lohan’s has been ordered to attend a pretrial hearing on January 30. A date for her probation hearing will be set during the pretrial hearing. A trial date on the misdemeanor counts is set for February 27.
In happier Lohan news, Charlie Sheen has stated recently that he did indeed finally get a thank you from Lohan after “paying it forward” and helping her pay her past due taxes. Sheen reportedly wrote a check in the amount of $100,00 to cover Lohan’s past due taxes from 2009. Lindsay reportedly sent Sheen flowers and an apology for not thanking him. Lohan supposedly owed a total of $233,904.
Watch out for Sheen and Lohan to appear on the silver screen together. Last December the two shot a controversial scene in the film. ‘Scary Movie 5.’ LiLo reportedly refused to kiss Sheen in the scene, afraid of his wild partying past. Rumor has it that a body double was used for some kissing parts, while other shots were written out entirely.
In other news, a new feud is brewing between Megan Fox and Lohan. Fox told Esquire Magazine in reference to why she removed her Marilyn Monroe tattoo, ‘She wasn’t powerful at the time. She was sort of like Lohan. She was an actress who wasn’t reliable, who almost wasn’t insurable.. She had all the potential in the world, and it was squandered. I’m not interested in following in those footsteps.’
According to Lohan’s latest tweet, she’s ready to put all the drama behind her. @lindsaylohan: I feel very blessed to be able to spend time w/my Mom, family & very wonderful friends. Very grateful..May only good things come this year
Time will tell.
