No couple here.
Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence are not a couple, according to at least one of the stars.
Although the two share amazing chemistry on screen, the same chemistry does not translate to their off screen lives, according to Cooper. The stars of the Oscar nominated film, Silver Linings Playbook, have been under extra scrutiny while making their award show rounds.
Cooper vehemently denied the rumors while being interviewed by Entertainment Tonight on the Golden Globes red carpet Sunday night, telling ET: “No, no, no, no, no. Not even close. First of all, I could be her father. No, I’m kidding. But no, not even close. We’ve done two movies together. If it didn’t happen by now, it’s not going to happen.”
Quick to correct any misinterpretation of his denial, Cooper went on to say: “I love her to death, she’s amazing but no.” Lawrence, after hearing Cooper’s remarks, told ET, “True. I agree. I concur.”
The stars of Silver Linings Playbook were, until recently, dating other people. Once it was reported that the two stars were back on the market, rumors of a love connection began to circulate even more. Although the rumors have grown out of sheer speculation, the former dating habits of the two actors do seem to point towards their shared tendency of dating co-stars.
Cooper had an off and on again relationship with his The Words co-star, Zoe Saldana, for about a year. According to Us Magazine, the two dated for three months, split in March of 2012, and then got back together this past fall. The pair reportedly ended things, again, right before the holidays.
Lawrence started dating actor Nicholas Hoult, her co-star in X-Men: First Class, back in 2011. The pair recently split after two years together. According to In Touch, a friend of Jennifer’s claims that the couple was “young and grew apart.. but remain friends.” Hoult is a British actor who is quickly becoming one of the hottest young actors in Hollywood. His zombie-romance film, Warm Bodies, will be released this February.
The pair’s film, Silver Linings Playbook, has been nominated for multiple awards, including Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Picture. Lawrence beat out Meryl Streep, Judi Dench, Emily Blunt, and Maggie Smith for the Best Actress Golden Globe on Sunday Night.
Cooper lost his Best Actor Golden Globe to Hugh Jackman, who won for Les Miserables. With Silver Linings Playbook on its way to the Oscars in a month, it’s safe to say that rumors of the pair’s off screen relationship have only provided more publicity for the film during awards season.
