Kanye West and Jay Z are best buds. Kanye collaborated with Jay on 2011’s “Watch the Throne.” However, the most recent evidence of their friendship comes in photo form.

On Monday, Kanye posted a photo on Twitter of himself, Kim Kardashian, Beyonce Knowles and Jay, calling the group his “FAM.”

Gawker notes that Beyonce’s sister, Solange, was cropped out of the photo but appears in the original version.

In June of last year, a picture of Kanye and his “FAM” might not have been possible, as Media Takeout reported hearing whispers of tension in Kanye West and Jay Z’s relationship. The whispers were that Jay Z and Beyonce didn’t want to be around Kim.

Entertainment Weekly points out that Kanye has more than 9 million followers on Twitter but only follows Kim.

This comes as Kanye and Kim, better known as “Kimye,” are expecting their first child together.

“It’s true!! Kanye and I are expecting a baby,” Kim wrote on her blog. “We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mom and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us.”

“Looking forward to great new beginnings in 2013 and to starting a family. Happy New Year!!! Xo.”

Kanye first made the announcement during a concert in Atlantic City, saying “stop the music and make noise for my baby mama.”

Speaking of families growing bigger and needing a lot more space, Kim and Kanye recently dropped $11 million on a mansion in an exclusive Bel Air, California, neighborhood.

Perhaps Kanye West and Jay Z’s friendship is strengthened by their love of the finer things in life?

Jay, for example, invested $1 million in the then-New Jersey Nets (now the Brooklyn Nets), according to the New York Daily News.

The rapper also has no problem dropping some coin on others. The New York Post reports that Jay is said to have purchased a generator to power 195 Hudson St, where he and Beyonce own a loft, in the wake of Superstorm Sandy.
