Cee Lo Green is facing allegations of sexual battery after he allegedly drugged an unidentified woman and had sex with her.

The unidentified woman said Cee Lo drugged her over dinner at a restaurant in downtown Los Angeles. She remembered waking up naked in a room with “The Voice” judge without recollection of what happened before.

The details of the case began to emerge after TMZ reported that a recording of Cee Lo has emerged, which shows “The Voice” star repeatedly apologizing to the woman.

“Sources involved in the case represent to TMZ … Cee Lo is on tape, repeatedly apologizing and referencing MDMA (Ecstasy) — though he does not specifically say he put it in her drink. Sources say Cee Lo told her he thought the drug would help them have an exciting time together. For the record, MDMA generally does not render people unconscious,” according to TMZ.

LAPD police have questioned staffers at the restaurant over the event of that night. Detectives also had the woman tape a “pretext” call in which she tried to get Green admit to a crime, after she filed the police report. No charges have been filed.

Speaking Friday, Green refuted the claim, saying he did not drug the woman. “The Voice” star did not specifically state that he put the drug in the woman’s drink, but says he believed the drug would help them to have an “exciting time” together, according to TMZ.

“Nothing ever happened there or anywhere else,” Green told TMZ, reportedly adding that he hasn’t been to the cited restaurant in months.

It remains unclear what ramifications could come of this report. Green is expected to return to the upcoming season of “The Voice.” The news comes as Green is promoting his new Christmas album, “Cee Lo’s Magic Moment,” released on Tuesday. He’ll premiere a “Cee Lo & Friends” holiday special on YouTube on November 26.
