Lil Wayne is released from a Louisiana hospital.
Rap artist Lil Wayne left a Louisiana area hospital early Saturday after he experiencing a second seizure, which forced his private plane to make another emergency landing.
Wayne was hospitalized Friday, just hours after his plane was forced to make an emergency landing for his first seizure episode, according to TMZ. Eaerly reports attributed Wayne’s seizure to dehydration and exhaustion. In a statement released early this week, Wayne’s management team says he will remain on “mandated rest.”
“Lil Wayne was successfully released from the hospital after being treated for a severe migraine and dehydration,” Wayne’s representation said in the statement. “He is at home on doctor-mandated rest and will return to work soon. He appreciates all of his fans for their support and love.”
Upon leaving the hospital, Wayne tweeted to his followers, “Thanx for all the prayers! I am good.”
Wayne’s hospitalization comes just days before the rap artist is scheduled to appear in court. Wayne is slated to testify on Monday, part of a lawsuit aimed at Quincy Jones III over his documentary about the making of “Tha Carter III.” He had been scheduled to testify on Friday, but as a result of his hospitalization, the testimony was delayed. Sources close to Wayne say it is unlikely he will testify on Monday.
The 30-year-old multi-platinum performer is working on a follow-up to his last album, last year’s “Tha Carter IV.” The album is reportedly set for release in December.
