Last night, Jimmy Fallon brought the world back to 1993 when he delivered on his promise to reunite the Saved by the Bell cast on The Tonight Show.

In the nostalgic 8-minute sketch, stars of the 90s TV show appeared in character as Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), Kelly Kapowski (Tiffani-Amber Thiessen), A.C. Slater (Mario Lopez) Jessie Spano (Elizabeth Berkley) and Mr. Belding (Dennis Haskins).

Fallon was incorporated into the sketch by playing a younger version of himself that used to go to Bayside High School. He told his friends that he was moving to New York so he can be on SNL, host his own talk show, and date Nicole Kidman. All of which are true.

The other stars of this sketch had their careers jabbed at as well. Zack Morris laughed at the idea of Jimmy dating Nicole Kidman by saying, “Jimmy going on a date with Nicole Kidman is like Jessie becoming a stripper”.

Berkley, of course, starred in the 1995 film “Showgirls.”

Not all of the cast members made it to the reunion though. Both Lark Vhoories (Lisa Turtle) and Dustin Diamond (Screech) were nowhere to be found. Diamond has been accused of stabbing a man in a Wisconsin bar on Christmas Day 2014.

This was the sketch that none of us knew we needed, but it was great to see the old gang squeeze back into their old 90s jeans.
