Rounds wants Rosie O’Donnell to submit to random drug testing

Michelle Rounds, the estranged wife of comedienne Rosie O’Donnell wants the former ‘’The View” host to submit to random drug testing until their custody battle is resolved, according to TMZ.

Rounds, 43, who is divorcing O’Donnell, 53, after announcing their split in February – believes the actress is an unfit parent to their daughter, 2-year-old Dakota because of her “excessive use of booze and weed,’’ TMZ reported.

The divorce papers allege that O’Donnell “drinks a bottle of wine nearly every night, regularly smokes weed and eats edibles, and it gets in the way of parenting.”

The DailyMail  reached out to representatives for O’Donnell, who have so far been unavailable for comment and TMZ also reported O’Donnell claimed that Rounds accusations were all lies.

Rounds  is also seeking sole custody of their daughter.

Rounds said she and O’Donnell clashed in their parenting styles, which contributed to their split. They officially split just two weeks after the TV star quit The View to focus on her family and health, the Daily Mail reported.

“I just want my child to have the best possible environment to grow up in, a normal life. Right now she’s got 24/7 nannies over there at Rosie’s house,” Rounds told Entertainment Tonight. “I don’t want my child to have a 24/7 nanny. She (O’Donnell) leaves the baby overnight with nannies, she has the monitor in the nanny’s room.”

Moreover, Rounds said in the divorce papers that let their 19-year-old son, Parker “throw parties where the kids all drink, which she believes is irresponsible.”

A representative for O’Donnell told TMZ, “This is a distorted perception of Michelle’s reality. It’s sad in every way.”

The former couple, who have a prenuptial agreement, married in June 2012 and adopted Dakota the following year.

O’Donnell and Rounds met in the summer of 2011 at a Starbucks. They began a conversation as Rounds had a dog in her arms and O’Donnell was interested in getting another one, the Daily Mail reported.

O’Donnell was married to her first wife, Kelli Carpenter, a former Nickelodeon marketing executive, in 2004.

Carpenter and O’Donnell got married in San Francisco just after San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom ordered that marriage licenses be granted to same-sex couples.

O’Donnell and Carpenter, who split in 2007, were raising four children together – Parker, Chelsea, 17, Blake, 15, and Vivienne, 12. O’Donnell adopted Parker and Chelsea prior to meeting Carpenter. Together they adopted Blake, while Vivienne was born to Carpenter via artificial insemination, the Daily Mail reported.

The former IT consultant told the Daily Mail that she is not interesting in O’Donnell, adding that she made her first million before the age of 39, that was before I met Rosie. I don’t need Rosie’s money. I’ll walk away from the prenup if she gives me full custody.”

“Divorce is really hard, but imagine going through a divorce with a celebrity who is really, really powerful, someone who has all the media and publicists behind them,’’ Rounds told TMZ.

O’Donnell has yet to publicly comment, though she recently Instagrammed a photo on of Dakota with her hand in the air, captioned, “excuse me – do i get a vote?”

In response to the photo, Rounds said: ‘At two-and-a-half-years old, I’m not quite sure a child should be asked those questions.

Rounds was married to Rosie for three years before their official February split, the Daily Mail reported.

“I used to be afraid of Rosie but I am not afraid of Rosie anymore,” Rounds told TMZ recently, while leaving a drugstore. “Because I want what’s best for Dakota. And what’s best for Dakota is to be with me. I am the better mother.”
