‘Fashion Police’ host believes controversy is what keeps the show alive

After speculation that Fashion Police was in jeopardy of being cancelled, the controversial host of the show Giuliana Rancic confirmed that it was coming back. Rancic also added that it was coming back in time to cover the Emmys.

It was reported on Wednesday that the fashion show that aired on the E! channel had a controversial incident that left the show under speculation that it might not make a new season.

The show fell into despair when Rancic made a controversial remark about Disney’s alum Zendaya. Rancic stated that Zendaya’s hair, in dreadlocks fashion, at the Academy Awards looked like it “smelled like Patchouli oil and weed.”

The remark was seen as offensive and racist, which ended up drawing a lot of negative attention towards Rancic and the show. The fiasco that ensued for Fashion Police caused co-host Kelly Osbourne to quit the show.

It is due to this negative attention that Giuliana Rancic believes the show will make a comeback. She believes that more people will want to watch the show. Plus, many fans enjoyed the show last season not considering the fiasco that occurred with Zendaya.

Rancic also released a book in which she defends her statement that she made about Zendaya on the fashion show. Rancic feels like the book helped calm things down and alleviate people’s view of the show.

Giuliana Rancic will be back with Fashion Police for another season with Brad Goreski as a co-host. The other seats on the show have not been filled yet.
