‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ trailer: Ultron is out to tear them apart

The new Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer has arrived less than two months before Joss Whedon’s anticipated Marvel sequel is set to be released. The whole team is back. Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow, the Hulk and Hawkeye are ready to battle the evil AI with a robot body, Ultron.

Ultron’s narration, voiced by James Spader, reveals that he was “designed to save the world,” but he plans to take “hope” from the people first. And Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr., blames himself for creating the artificially intelligent robot hell-bent on humans becoming extinct. The trailer shows Stark admitting his creation, which was meant to protect the world, to Mark Ruffalo’s character Bruce Banner or the Hulk.

Unlike the trailers previously released, Marvel’s new one comes equipped with less doom and more humor between the superheroes. It also illustrates an intimate moment between Scarlett Johansson’s character Black Widow and the Hulk or Bruce Banner.

Actors Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen also joined the franchise. However, they joined as the enemies rather than the heroes. The mutant siblings Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch will face off against the Avengers in one epic battle over the fate of humanity.

Marvel released a poster last week on the Avengers Twitter feed that depicted the original cinematic members along with Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch and of course Nick Fury. Marvel comic junkies may have also recognized Vision flying above the characters. The android character is voiced Paul Bettany in the film.

Avengers: Age of Ultron will be released on May 1. However, Regal Entertaiment and AMC Theaters announced that they will be hosting “Ultimate Marvel Marathons” on April 29 that will end with a showing of the new film.

The companies are running the marathons a little differently, but AMC released a breakdown of the films they will be showing. The tickets are $65, and they will be showing 11 films. Those who purchase a ticket from Regal will receive an “exclusive collectible medallion.” This would add up to about 29 hours of movie viewing, including the new Avengers sequel.
