Scarlett Johansson hosts SNL a fourth time

Her post Avengers appearance.

Scarlett Johansson appeared last night to host SNL, fresh with a short haircut to rival that of pop diva superstar Miley Cyrus. Her fourth time hosting, Scarlett brought her A-game, performing a “Sexy Dance” with back-up dancers to boot.

E! Online reports Scarlett appeared just a day after the release of the highly anticipated blockbuster The Avengers: Age of Ultron, in which she returns for her well-known role as Black Widow, not to be confused with the song “Black Widow Baby.” The now 30-year-old actress played different roles on the 40-year-old sketch show, performing in a kit that showed what a Black Widow standalone film would look like. The twist? What would a Black Widow film look like if it was marketed toward women? SNL has always got a twist. That’s what makes it so unique.

Scarlett also showcased her dancing and singing skills as she congratulated Floyd Mayweather Jr. For his win against Pacquiao, the major TV sporting even that took precedence last night after the Kentucky Derby. Quite a night for entertainment, reporters and performers!

Musical performer Wiz Khalifa performed “We Dem Boyz” and “See You Again” on SNL, as Scarlett carried the show with her likeable presentation.

Rolling Stone reported that Scarlett Johansson did an excellent job hosting and that there were three sketches in particular that wooed audiences. About to be in the five-timers club, along with Alec Baldwin, Drew Barrymore and Justin Timberlake, Scarlett brought on the charm with these sketches: 1) “Mayweather-Pacquiao Cold Open” which was timely as the fight was on that same night, also live, 2) “Black Widow Trailer”, the rom-com version of Black Widow featuring the female lead wearing a preppy cardigan, and 3) “Blazer” a dark CSI: Miami type detective sketch that has been running with great success, starring Taran Killam, who is leaving for his own show in the near future.
